Have anyone share with you that it will be best to hold on to a property for at least 4 years if not you will be subject to seller's stamp duty.
Sell within 1st year of ownership - 16%
2nd - 12%
3rd - 8%
4th - 4%
There are cases in which owners have property that are within short distance to MRT, amenities etc made a loss when they sell off their unit but some units that are in the same district (not as close to MRT and amenties) are making money. So do bear in mind that not necessary you will make money if you purchase a property near MRT. We must make comparison in regards to potential upside, risk etc.
